亞歷克說他不記得馬格努斯守了他一整晚這回事了，對不會說謊的他而言，這已經是最接近謊言的「實話」了。

他當然記得是馬格努斯救了他，在他幾乎要被那種苦痛滅頂之際，是馬格努斯在一旁安撫他，他緊抓著那巫師的手腕，不知過了多久，直到苦痛終於遠去，一片安穩逐漸將他包覆，他放心地闔上眼，因為他知道他可以信任這個男人，儘管他是異世界的人。

他的確不記得馬格努斯坐在他的床邊一整晚，只是當他醒來再度看見那雙奇異的金色貓眼時，他略能猜到一二。

一整晚。

Alec had said that he did not remember Magnus sitting by his bed all night. For him who couldn't tell a lie, it was a "truth" most closing to a lie.

He of course remembered it was Magnus who had saved him, while he was drowning in the pain. It was Magnus comforting him by his side. He gripped the warlock's wrist tight. After not-known how long, until the pain had finally gone, a sense of calmness and peace covered him. He closed his eyes with relief, for he knew he could trust this man, even for a Downworlder.

He, indeed, did not remember Magnus sitting along his bed all the night; when the strange golden cat eyes, however, came into his sight when he came into consciousness again, he could guess a thing or two.

A whole night.
